A Witches Beauty Bath Ritual

honey bathThis is a wonderful way to just relax, feel beautiful and attract more love to you. Typically this bath ritual is done only on Friday nights, since it is ruled by Venus.

You will need:

  • 1 liter of whole milk OR full fat cream
  • about half a cup of honey
  • 1 fresh rose, any color you like
  • a few heaping tablespoons of dried lavender
  • about 1 cup of salt
  • 2 or 3 rocks that you can hold well in your hand
  • 3 tea lights

Start by running quite a hot bath make sure you put your rocks and salt in now. But please use caution before getting in. Make sure you let the water get to a comfortable temp for you. If you don’t have a bathtub, use a deep bowl to soak your feet.

Next you will steep the dried lavender in some hot water for about 5 to 10 minutes. About 2 cups. You can actual do this ahead of time and always keep it stored so you always have some on hand.

Warm all the milk on the stove slowly, do not boil it. Add the honey, mix it well so its all combined nicely. And no sticky traces of honey.

Add the warm milk and steeped lavender to your bath and a bit more dried lavender buds. Finally, add the fresh rose petals and light a few tea lights and float them into the bath gently. Yes they will float!

Before you get in, lean down carefully and kiss your bath water. This action is blessing the water with your love and affection. Slide in relax for awhile. When you are ready, grab the rocks and start massaging yourself in an upwards motion. Starting from the bottoms of your feet up to your neck. Once you are done keep a small amount of water and place it into a plant or garden. This includes the rocks.

**side note** I know Himalayan is a popular bath salt option, but you don’t have to use Himalayan salts, Himalayan salt was not something that was readily available or even attainable where we are from. Table salt or rock salt is fine, this is what we use in our tradition. So don’t run out and buy expensive salt when you can use what you have!

Happy Witching!

  2. Beautiful, looking forward to trying this out when I move and finally have a nice big bath again. We have been on tank water here in our valley, which is heavenly however in dry times it means no baths. I resided in the Uk for 11 years, oh how I miss those long baths…..
